Hello! We are Phoebe and Brian, a married couple recently moved back to Cambridge after spending a couple of years in London. Phoebe’s daughter Poppy, also lives with us part of the time – some weekends and holidays.
Brian is a historical woodcarver, and will be spending quite a bit of time staying in London still. Phoebe is a library officer and part time PhD student. She will be spending time between home and London until she can get a job in Cambridge!
We are really happy and excited about our new home. It has a really big garden for us all to relax in and enjoy 🙂 a lovely airy bright kitchen and living room too. A bathroom with shower over bath.
We are happy to share all the facilities and bills are included in the rent. The room itself is a double, currently unfurnished but we can help with a bit of furniture I’m sure if need be, such as a bed.
We are long term tenants of the property, and we are taking a lodger with the permission of the landlord and we can draw up a lodging agreement so you have proof of tenancy, if needed for benefits, etc.
We are both very friendly and warm, and we genuinely look forward to spending time with getting to know you, at the same time respecting each others space and privacy, of course. It would be nice to cook and share meals sometimes, and enjoy each others company 🙂
We are a vegan and vegetarian household, we don’t mind of you eat meat, just please can you be respectful and keep it well wrapped in the fridge, we’d really appreciate that. You will have your own shelf, of course. Or maybe we can get an extra fridge!
Our geeky hobbies include playing board games, and historical Reenactment, reading, and singing.
The transport is very good here, as the property is on Newmarket Road and well served by buses. Also Cambridge North station is quite close.
