I’m looking for a housemate, ideally on a longer-term basis, to share a semi-detached house in a quiet area of Cambridge, close to Ditton Meadows and Cambridge North Station.

The rent includes council tax, internet, and utility bills. If energy costs increase significantly after you move in, the rent may need to be adjusted accordingly.

If you’re looking to stay longer term, I’d be happy to repaint the bedroom at my expense and add some furnishings to better suit you, as it’s currently quite minimal.

A little about me: I’m a woman in my 50s and currently work in an office (not from home) 4–5 days a week. I’m tidy, quiet, and considerate, and I’m looking for someone who appreciates an organised and well-kept home.

My interests centre around nature and community. I enjoy volunteering through the Abbey community, particularly repair cafés and gardening projects. I love reading fiction that explores inner lives and moral ambiguity, as well as wider questions about society and humanity. I also enjoy writing, walking, running, going to the gym, and hiking.

I’m happy to share with someone older or younger, but I’d especially enjoy living with someone who has an interest in topics such as environmental sustainability, psychology, gardening, the future of humanity, or global inequality — someone who might enjoy the occasional conversation while walking in Ditton Meadows or sitting in the garden.
