Our lovely lodger is leaving us to move in with her boyfriend. Although we are delighted for her, she will be missed and it means the room is available again from April.
This is a family home and my two children (14 and 11) and our Jack Russell (5) are here every Wednesday and Thursday evening and alternate weekends (Fri/Sat/Sun). When the kids are here, we do go out quite a lot (weather permitting). When they’re not here, I sometimes go away for the weekend, so you could expect the house to yourself about one weekend a month.
The room is a double room in the loft conversion with private (not ensuite) shower room. There is an additional room in the loft which you may use as an office/lounge space so wfh is no problem. The overall space is therefore more like a studio or one-bed flat but with shared kitchen on the ground floor.
10 min walk to mainline station (Eden Park), bus stop at the end of the road. 20-25 mins by train to London Bridge, buses to Bromley and Croydon.
Woods behind the house, large garden. Easy to park on the road. No permits or parking charges.
It’s a spacious house, renovated (almost) entirely throughout in the last five years. So although it’s a family home, you would be able to be quite self-contained.
I can also reduce the rent for the right person if you are willing to walk the dog and/or help out with childcare. I work full-time, currently approx 2 days in the office and 3 wfh.
No cleaner at the moment, but I might invest in one with the rental income!
Good broadband/WiFi service. Kitchen is well equipped. No tumble dryer but there is a heated airer for winter.
