I have a beautiful double room to rent, furnished to a high standard with separate bath room, in a very spacious, clean and tidy, non-smoking house. My bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, so I don’t use the household bathroom.
The house is Victorian terraced and situated in Sacriston village (3 miles from Durham city centre); it has three bedrooms; the decor is neutral thoughout; the double room and bath room are on the 1st floor; the living room and dining rooms are shared and the kitchen leads into the garden, which is also shared; kitchen has washing machine, microwave, fridge, freezer. There is a separate fridge and freezer for my lodger. There is gas central heating throughout, and the house is warm in winter, cool in summer.
The Rent is £425 pcm, payable in advance. The rent includes all bills: Council tax, TV, high speed Wifi, Gas, Electricity, Water. There is also a deposit of £425. I am open to short term rentals for people working as contractors.
The house would suit professionals who are clean, tidy, respectful and quiet.

There’s a very good bus service to Durham and buses run every 15 mins. Busses also go to Newcastle every half an hour.
I am a professional and I work from home quite often, but also travel for work on occasion. I am a very easy going and relaxed individual and a champion of equality. I enjoy folk music, theatre, cinema, reading and swimming and cycling, as well as having friends round for dinner, going out for drinks.
Sacriston Village history dates back to the 13th Century when it was called “Sacristan’s Heugh”. It was linked to the monastery at Durham Cathedral as the monk who lived here was called the Sacristan and he was charged with providing everything necessary for the services of the Cathedral – bread, wine, vestments and he organised repairs.
