We’re offering a large double room with en-suite shower/loo in our comfortable, characterful house.

You’ll have use of the kitchen and your own sitting room, with plenty of space if you want to work from home. There’s WiFi and all the bills will be included – we just ask that you’re careful to help us keep the bills reasonably low. We have a huge garden with a lovely patio, and you can use this freely.

Transport links in Blakedown are good, with a direct rail connection to Birmingham, taking about 35 minutes. There’s room to park at no extra charge if you have a car.

We’re a mature, professional couple who are pretty easy-going. Between us we like running, yoga, cinema, theatre, art and eating out. We’re looking for a responsible housemate with a mature attitude, who’ll fit in and become part of the household. Occasionally our son and/or daughter who are in their mid-20s will come and stay for the weekend.

Getting the right person is key to us, as there will be a lot of times when we’re away and you’ll have the whole place to yourself! You’ll definitely need to be comfortable around pets, as there’s also a resident cat, which we’ll need your help to feed most days, and we’ll reduce the monthly rent by £25 to say thank you. Our beautiful golden retriever dog will be staying regularly but not all the time.
