This 4 bedroom townhouse is situated in the West End of Glasgow on the banks of the Forth and Clyde Canal with easy access to Byres Road, Great Western Road as well as a local train station just 10min walk that will take your right into Glasgow Queen Street Station and regular buses to the City Centre with bus stops just a 5 min walk from the house.
I am advertising one double room for rent (although I do have 2 spare rooms available so the choice would be yours). One double bedroom is situated on the Ground Floor which is the bigger of the two. This has it’s own dedicated wetroom (shower, sink, toilet, cupboards). The other double room is on the First Floor and a shared bathroom with one other tenant. The house is on 3 levels so the Ground Floor has large entrance hallway, one double bedroom, wet room, utility room, large kitchen/dining/living area (all communal), and leads out onto the back garden which has a canal right at the bottom. The second floor has a lounge (not-communal) and two double bedrooms (one of which is occupied) and the main bathroom with bath, shower, toilet, sink, cupboards. The Top Floor is my bedroom with en-suite. So every floor would have a private bathroom (apart from the First Floor if that was chosen).
The estate has private parking and a friendly neighbourhood with a WhatsApp chat group. There are 2 large supermarkets within walking distance and transport directly into the City Centre. The canal is great for anyone who enjoys cycling, running or leisurely walks (when not experiencing typical Scottish weather….i. e. rain).
About me
I’m a pretty laid back landlady and prefer to be known as a housemate than a landlord. I’m all about cleanliness and respect for others in the house and have always had that mutual respect for previous tenants. We do have a cleaning rota for communal areas which is updated each month and we are very good at ensuring we keep up with the activities. I work from home as I have my own Marketing business so ideally someone that doesnt work from home although potentially open to someone who may be around 1-2 days during the week.
In the evenings, my other tenant pretty much keeps to himself in his room, watching movies, or working. He’s up and away first thing then back around tea time but only really surfaces when he’s hungry, LOL. A great guy and been here for 2 years so part of the furniture. He is away at least one week per month back to Switzerland but sometimes too so we are like passing ships alot of the time. My partner also stays here and contributes to the cleaning/bills too. Again, he’s away at work during the week unless he is rota to have one day off during the week. We try to enjoy dinners together once in a while (normally me cooking a slap up meal and we all chip in for the food cost). Usually around an ocassion (e. g. birthday, someone new in the house, someone leaving the house, Burns Supper, or just a general catch up.
