The property is an old farmhouse is a rural situation. There is a livery yard on the farm and dogs and cats and chickens. There is a country park near door for lovely walks. A car is necessary as there are no immediate transport routes, however there is a train station a 5 minute car ride away with free parking. The centre of Edinburgh is just a 30 minute ride.
There are also plenty of buses from Dalkeith which is a 10 minute car journey. Dalkeith also has a wide variety of shops with Aldi, Lidle, Little Sainsburys and Morrisons. There is a Tesco nearby too. Travel a bit further and there is the fishing town of Musselburgh with and Asda Superstore close by.
There are local gyms including the new upmarket David Lloyds.
There are also great pubs and restaurants that could be walked to if you like a good walk! And plenty a little further away.
