Hello!
The duplex is tucked in a very quiet, very leafy, cut de sac in Oakwood, set in lovely mature gardens with ancient trees.
A 2min walk to a large green just behind us, a further 4mins to Roundhay Park (exactly, I timed it!) – and in the other direction, Oakwood Clock with loads of buses, cool bars and shops.
It’s a 2 storey flat in a very small and very friendly block, converted from army barracks.
It has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 living areas, eat in kitchen, a separate living room, and loads and loads of natural light.
Looking for a flatmate who is house-proud and wants to live in a home rather than a standard flat-share. This is a quiet, considered, happy place.
The bedrooms are very different from one another, and I will let you choose the one you prefer:
Bedroom 1: a large very bright double (3x4m) with an almost wall-to-wall window overlooking beautiful trees and the garden. Freshly painted white, with a fluffy grey/blue carpet. Has almost exclusive use of the house bathroom right next to it. Furnished with a double bed, a cupboard and a wardrobe. £450 p/m.
Bedroom 2: gigantic attic with cathedral ceiling spanning the width and length of the entire flat below, blindingly bright with 6 vellux windows and a charming on-suite. Furnished with a double bed, desk, shelving and loads of hanging and storage space. £700 p/m.
Living with the right person is more important to me than which of the 2 bedrooms I live in (since they’re both lovely!), so putting both out there as options for the perfect flatmate to choose from, and I’ll take the other.
It’s well set up, all mod cons, fastest fibre optic Virgin WIFI, etc + off street parking, as well as a lock up garage available to store large items (those you don’t mind getting damp, as it leaks).
I’m a concept designer and work from home very long hours. Into yoga/pilates/gym, healthy everything , chill out music, travel, vintage and up-cycling, hikes in the country, the arts, and art-house film. I also make aromatherapy products so the place often smells of roses (literally!)
If you eat meat/fish, ideally you won’t cook it at home.
Looking to share my home (you’ll live with the landlady ?) with someone who is respectful, into sustainability and doesn’t bring the party home.
Do get in touch if it sounds interesting!
