Hello!
I’m looking for someone to move in to this flat with me (and two cats) in Archway, N19. It’s located on a quiet residential street within a conservation area, surrounded by green and single family homes.
FLAT
The flat is a 1 bedroom, so no living room. It is an old flat, with quirks but …. our bedrooms are on opposite ends of the flat. The bathroom was refurbished a few years ago and all the windows are double glazed. There’s also a basement and unruly garden….. The kitchen is quite spacious with high ceilings. There was a sofa in there at one point.
BEDROOM
The bedroom is a proper double – you can fit a double bed, sofa etc in there. It’s technically unfurnished but there is a bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers. The room is at the front but the street is quiet and the windows are double glazed. It’s also a very sunny room. The carpet is in the process of being replaced this week,
ME
50s. Considerate, honest, friendly, straightforward, respectful. I come from a visual arts background and like cooking, tennis, current affairs, walking, travelling, eating, visual arts, culture, history, doing nothing, laughing, talking and tons of other stuff ….. I work full time for a newspaper doing a standard M-F job and wfh, in the common area, 1 day a week (Friday).
HOUSEMATE
Looking for someone who genuinely likes cats, is friendly, honest, positive, engaged with life, considerate, self sufficient, optimistic, female, 40+
I would rather live with someone who doesn’t work the same standard M-F type of job as me (not a deal breaker) and you don’t wfh more than 2 days a week.
I don’t want to live with anyone who is going to have people over regularly (particularly the weekends).
You like a calm, peaceful and clean home, but not obsessive (I would like to have a cleaner), no hot/stuffy environments (please), conscious of energy usage, able to pay bills on time …. We don’t need to besties, but I do want to engage with the person I’m living with! Someone who wants to live harmoniously, not selfishly …..
and lastly ….. I have a deep, deep aversion towards pork (particularly the smell when it’s being cooked – yucky!) – so please, no pork in the home. Anything else is fine.
BILLS
TOTAL monthly bills are below (these are the current amounts and are split 50/50). As usual, most bills increase from April each year.
Rent – £1200
Electric/Gas – £91
Water – £80 (I just got a water meter so this will, hopefully, decrease)
Council Tax – £184
Internet – £24
There’s also an annual charge for garden waste collection and the usual general household expenses such as cleaning products + toilet paper.
Proof of identity, ability to pay bills and the right to live in the UK required.
Please get in touch if you think we might be a (genuine) fit
Thanks!
