Large 1 bed flat in Walthamstow/Leyton.
I don’t work in London in the week so am only there at weekends. This means the entire flat is yours from Monday to Friday. (I am also happy to consider a 3 night arrangement too).
The flat is on the top (10th) floor of an older, well built, brick block and is modern spacious and light. The lift only goes up to the 9th floor and there are 3 small flights of stairs (15 steps in total) up to the 10th floor. There are 3 other flats on the floor with older neighbours so this means that the flat is very quiet and peaceful.
There is a big open plan kitchen and living room and double bedroom with a huge comfortable bed. From the balcony and the bedroom window there are incredible views of the London skyline and of clouds and sunsets.
It is a really relaxing place to be after a long day.
It is a fantastic location for transport links. Walthamstow Central station is about 15 minutes walk. From there you can get the Victoria line to central London in about 20-25 mins or the overland to Liverpool Street in 15 mins. 15-20 minutes walk in the other direction will get you to Lea Bridge station which is just one stop away from Stratford. Also 15 mins walk away are Walthamstow, Queens Road or Leyton, Midland Road both on the overground North London line. If you don’t fancy the walk, all of these stations are a short bus ride away instead. The bus stop is a couple mins walk from the flat.
The flat is officially in Leyton but is actually much closer to Walthamstow which has loads of good places to eat, drink and walk as well as hosting lots of different cultural events throughout the year. There is easy access to Walthamstow Wetlands, Leyton Jubilee Park and Lea Valley and there are walking and cycle routes everywhere. Walthamstow village, and street market are both about a 15 minute walk away with shops of all kinds a huge range of restaurants and pubs. The nearest supermarket is 5 mins walk away.
