ROOM TO RENT OVERVIEW
ROOM DETAILS
TENANCY DETAILS
DESCRIPTION
£1,250 single occupancy (bills included) + £100 cleaning fee.
Our home was built in the late 1910s and was architecturally redesigned and renovated with high standards. We are in the process of finishing furnishing and decorating it. There are a lot of artworks throughout the house and more paintings are waiting to be hung on the walls. The neighbourhood is pleasant, the underground and overground stations are a 5-minute walk away, to reach London’s most central locations in 20 minutes.
THE SPACE
The bedroom is very large. It is on the first floor and two large, beautiful sash windows open to the quiet street. The ceiling is high and features exposed timber beams. There is a stunning made in Italy double bed (160cm x 200 cm memory foam mattress). There is a 125 x D65 cm desk and a chair. You can bring your own desk and chair (depending on measurements). There is a beautiful curtain pole and curtain. The room comes with a beautiful private bathroom with shower in bathtub, two sinks and one WC.
STORAGE
There is plenty of storage in the room. The room features a large wardrobe (W255cm x H230cm x D60cm). There is storage under the bed (160×200 cm). There is 3 drawer-chest (W100 cm x H80 cm x D45cm) and a small clothes rail (75 cm long) to hang light pieces of clothing. There is an overdoor coat hanger. There is a cellar where you can store your luggage. There is a bike hangar in front of the house to store your bike. If you don’t have a bike, you can use one of our old bikes.
SHARED SPACES
You can use the kitchen to prepare your meals. It has a 6-metre-long glazing and is flooded with light, with a view of a pretty garden with lawn. There is also a reception room where you can relax whenever you feel like it. I usually work from home in the study above your bedroom, but you are welcome to use the study when I am away.
NEIGHBOURHOOD
The house is located in Walthamstow Central, a 5-minute walk from the underground station and a 20-minute underground ride to the heart of London. Walthamstow is defined as an upcoming part of London. It is arty and multicultural.
WHO YOU WILL LIVE WITH
I am a French Italian man in my early 50s. I work in product marketing for a global company, mainly from home. I have a very friendly female cat called LaGatta. I am often away because my partner lives in Spain. He is an interior architect, and he designed our house. He may sometimes come to visit, but I am the one regularly visiting him as I am working remotely.
I may need you to look after our cat when I am away. She is very low maintenance. She just needs food and water (food and instructions will be provided), sometimes flea treatment, which is easy to administer. She loves playing and cuddling if you are into it. Friends of ours can come and feed her if housemates are away for a few days.
IMPORTANT
We have spent years renovating this house and we really care for it. It is a little bit like our baby, and we would like to keep it in good shape as long as possible. We are looking for someone who will appreciate this and will look after our place as if it was theirs.
We have a cleaner who comes for 3 hours every week. However, as the house is very large, they don’t have the time to clean every single detail. So, it is important that everyone keeps their space as tidy and clean as possible by themselves and sometimes help clean details.
