THE HOUSE:
Contemporary, open plan living within a characterful Victorian house, with modern glass-roofed kitchen extension opening via bifold doors directly onto a pretty decked garden kept full of flowers. The garden has been renovated to add a green shield of trees for privacy, and fresh, new decking. All furniture has also been upgraded since the pictures were taken – to high quality mid century modern design. I also have a log burner, Morgensen leather sofa and stylish cow hide in the lounge.
THE ROOM:
The largest of two double rooms is yours, as is sole use of a newly renovated showers room/bathroom. Afternoon light floods into your room through two windows and bounces off the white painted floorboards and walls. The windows are dressed with the newest technology in hexagonal pocket, energy saving black out, and voile blinds – designed for warmth in winter and cool, bright privacy in summer. It comes with a double bed, a wall of built in storage, and (not seen in the photographs) a discrete, trendy ladderax bureau/shelving unit, and two further flexible use ladderax units. Really a big leap from the photos you see here – I should upgrade them!
THE AREA/ FACILITIES:
The property itself is in a quiet one way street for residents only with residents parking. Its convenient for shops, cafes, bus, 2 overgrounds and the Victoria Line and lies a few strides from Lloyd Park, a fantastic asset to the house, and very handy for visiting pets and kids, tennis or just relaxing in the gardens. The William Morris Museum (last picture), and two cafes are also located there. We are also just 10 minutes cycle from Walthamstow marshes and the canal network which winds down to London Fields, Victoria Park, Canary Wharf and across to Paddington. A small parade of shops, cafes, Tescos and the newly renovated Bell Pub, are just 5 minutes walk away.
