Granny Flats and Annexes

Granny annex for as a house sharing

Granny flats and annexes may not need planning permission and are a great solution to co-living in later life if you have family.

By combing budgets from the sale of one or two properties, families can find properties with the possibility to offer a separate granny flat or annexe.

If this is not possible within the existing building then there are options for free-standing garden rooms, many of which do not need planning permisision and can be installed under the caravan act.

Whilst this is not possible for everyone and for some not desirable, it is a good solution and is another example of sharing that can help provide not only financial savings but also companionship and social life.
