I have a very large and bright double room coming free in January (date flexible) on the Dalston / Stoke Newington border.
Rent is £1100 which includes all bills + WIFI, a fortnightly cleaner + household supplies (which I buy in bulk so there’s no stress about who got what last).
The room is HUGE for London standards (11ft x 6ft) and fully furnished with a king size bed, 4 wardrobes, side table and dresser and a desk. It also has a sky light.
The rest of the flat is also very spacious and has a lovely new(ish) and clean kitchen with clothes washer and a very large, cosy lounge.
We also have a car park which is a huge plus if you have a car.
We have great transport links with the Overground just a 10 minute walk away, bringing you into town within 15-30 mins or Shoreditch in 8 mins, as well as 3 buses at the top of our road that bring you to the West End, Aldgate, Waterloo/Southbank or London Bridge in under 40 mins.
If you don’t already know the area, it’s is really sought-after location thats buzzing with lots of bars, cafes and restaurants all around.
You’d be sharing me, a 44 year female creative business owner. I work remotely / from home but I travel as often as I can.
I also dabble a bit in music production but do this very infrequently and discreetly in my room.
I’m definitely too old for blasting music and I see home as sort of a haven for peace and quiet as there’s enough noise and madness out in London.
I’m big on cleanliness (but not a jerk about it) and in an effort to keep the flat free of London “outdoor nasties”, I’ve always kept ‘no shoes in the flat’ policy which seems to work well.
Although I tend to be quite busy with work and like private / me time now and again, it’s also nice to share a chat and glass of vino with the flatmate now and again.
