Lovely room in a family home.
we have a 4 bed house in Hook, Hampshire. The house is around ten minutes away from the train station by foot and close to the edge of Hook so good access to the countryside. The room is single at present but could accommodate a small double bed if desired. The room to let is newly decorated & carpeted and has new IKEA furniture (bed, double wardrobe, bedside table, chest or drawers). We have an office, wifi, double glazing, gas central heating operated by Hive, a log burning stove in the living room, large, new open plan kitchen with range cooker, gardens (small pool access all summer!), 2 bathrooms and a downstairs loo. There is a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge freezers x 2. The gas boiler is serviced by British Gas annually and all white goods are covered by homecare. All home contents are insured for theft/accidental breakage.
There is off road parking if needed. Hook has a train station (London 55 mins, Basingstoke 9 mins), pubs, places to eat, shops all within walking distance. It’s a large village but has still retained community spirit and there’s plenty going on.
About us! I am a 46 year old single Mum to older kids (2 here 1 left home) who are polite, can hold a decent conversation, cook, clean and are generally decent human beings! I work full time as a professional for the NHS. We have two gorgeous hounds who are well behaved and very much part of the family and a pony (but she doesn’t live here!). We are clean and tidy but not to the point where the house doesn’t feel relaxed.

Never done this before so the room can be available straight away. Bills are all included except for food but open to sharing cooking/food to some extent to lighten the load if that’s something that is wanted. Everyone likes a night off from cooking now and again! I would expect a little help with cleaning bathroom and running the hoover around etc
