Room taken until March 2025.
Light bright double loft room, with own shower room, available in Lloyd Park, Walthamstow. See photos.
The house : it’s a four bedroom, two bathroom family home. Downstairs we’ve just finished a kitchen extension with room for a dining table and a hangout area with folding doors out onto the garden. We spend most of our time in there. There’s also a downstairs loo and a small living room. We still have to get pictures up and fix up some of the decor, but it’s still a much nicer house than most. We have a weekly cleaner, broadband, washer, dryer…. everything you’d expect.
The Room: It’s the big loft room which is light a bright with black out blinds on the roof windows. There is a large chest of drawers, double bed with drawers underneath – this room is for single occupancy only – and some hanging space you can use in the spare room. You will also have sole use of the small shower room/loo which is also in the loft. There is also a smaller spare room in the loft, which will not be rented out – it is our spare room so most of the time the top floor is all yours. My oldest friend stays in the spare room once a week when he works in London. He will use the downstairs bathroom.
Location : the house is about 30 seconds from one of the entrances to Lloyd Park with the Gallery, cafe, Saturday market, events, outdoor space and flower gardens etc. We’re very near the Feel Good sports centre, five minutes walk from the Bell pub etc.
Transport: 15 minute walk from Walthamstow Central tube Victoria line, but plenty of buses get you there in no time. At WC there is also overground directly into Liverpool Street, as well as the overground system east and west.
I’m really sorry but we can’t have PETS due to allergies.
About us : I’m Andrea, 48, and I share the house with my 11-year-old daughter. I work from home three days a week and spend two in the office. At weekends I’m either getting stuff done – decorating/chores etc, or ferrying my daughter around. I have quite a full on job and spend my remaining time running my girl around, doing general mum stuff, working on the house/ planning on what to do with the wrecked garden and flopping in front of the TV. I’ve been a lodger in the past, lived in house shares and we’ve had au pairs here too – so I know it’s important we are a good fit. Miraculously all of the above have always worked out well.
Looking for : as a female only house, we are looking for a woman to join us. Someone grown-up, this isn’t a party house. Will probably suit someone who has plenty of their own stuff going on, but would like somewhere homey to live and won’t be offended by me going to bed early. I work in the main downstairs room.
Happy to consider someone for a few months to see how things go. Also happy to consider Monday to Friday, we can work out a rate. It’s more important that we find someone who we are comfortable with.
