Home Share to Help Out
Homeshare brings together people with spare rooms with people who are happy to chat and help out around the house in return for affordable, sociable accommodation.
Typically house providers are older, between 60 and 90, and home sharers are typically younger being either mature students or people aged between 40 and 60. Student home share is also very popular, with around 15-16 hours care/contact time required in exchange for low rents in lovely homes.
There are some home share listings on Cohabitas, but because we are focused on over 40s only we will not have such rooms for those interested in a younger home share.
The difference between home share and rooms for rent in a mature house share, is that there is always a component of care and company included in the agree
There is an International network of Homeshare organisations, with a presence in many countries. In the UK Homeshare is active and their website is https://homeshareuk.org/
