Small room in a shared house with a big garden and resident cat. You’ll have access to most of the house, but downstairs is mostly open plan, so on days we’re both working from home, we’ll need to set some ground rules. Town is a 15-minute walk away, and there are lots of shops, a cinema and local arts house. The river’s just a bit further on. It’s about a 25-minute walk to the station, with a decent link to London. We’re just outside the Oyster Zone here. Some bills are included in the rent – I can explain more on enquiry. As I’m a live-in landlord, the most important thing for me is to find someone who I think I’ll get on with and be able to live with comfortably and that’s how I’ll decide who to rent the room to.
